Hotel Chocolat’s 2017 Easter Egg Collection is an assortment of milk, white and dark chocolate Easter eggs from the luxury high street brand Hotel Chocolat.

Hotel Chocolat have a wide and varied range of Easter eggs and Easter chocolate, with twenty different eggs to choose from, the 2017 chocolate Easter egg selection combines the return of popular Hotel Chocolat eggs, reinvented Easter eggs and new innovations in chocolate.

The Ostrich Eggs

The largest Hotel Chocolat Easter eggs are the enormous Ostrich eggs, these eggs have two extra-large and thick chocolate shells with a selection of chocolates; the eggs are filled with a selection of luxury chocolates.

The Ostrich Egg is presented in ribbon tied hat box with swirls of gold. The very impressive Ostrich Easter egg is £75.00, and weighs just over a kilo in weight. And back for 2017 is the The Ostrich Egg Dark, a dark chocolate version of the Ostrich Egg.

Extra Thick Easter Eggs

Hotel Chocolat’s Extra Thick Eggs a must have for Easter, these luxury Easter eggs are very popular, delicious and quite impressive; large Easter eggs with two chunky extra thick shell halves filled with a selection of chocolates inside matching the flavours and type of chocolate the egg is made from.

In total there are eight Hotel Chocolat Extra Thick Easter Eggs in different combinations of milk, white or dark chocolate:

New for Easter 2017 is the Patisserie Egg. One half of the shell is pecan pie flavoured; 50% cocoa milk chocolate and pecan praline, the other half is salted caramel cheesecake; caramel chocolate, mascarpone, yoghurt and pinch of salt.

The Rare & Vintage Egg

The eighth egg is a little different, made with cocoa from the Rabot Estate the Hotel Chocolat Rabot 1745 Extra Thick Easter Egg showcases dark chocolate in a variety of cocoa strengths.

One half of the egg is made with 65% cocoa Supermilk Aracataca dark chocolate from Colombia and the other shell half is made with 85% Saint Lucia Island Growers milk chocolate and inside the chocolates tasting squares are made with even more cocoa variations.

A little more expensive than the other Extra Thick Easter eggs at £29.00, 390g, but the same thick shells. Made with rare cocoa from around the world.

A replacement for the Scrambled Easter eggs from last year, Hotel Chocolat’s Hard-Boiled Eggs are Easter eggs with a selection of chocolates that compliment the flavour or type of chocolate the egg is made from, some eggs are decorated with swirls and drizzles of chocolate on the shell and some are left plain, to let the chocolate speak for itself. Each Hard-Boiled Easter egg is presented in a simple, yet stylish, box with both the egg and chocolates on display.

The Hotel Chocolat Salted Caramel Hard-Boiled Easter Egg showcases salted caramel and caramel chocolate; with a caramel milk chocolate egg, decorated with drizzles of chocolate, a pinch of Guérande sea salt to bring out the Dulce de Leche notes. The egg is paired with six oozingly soft caramel with a pinch of sea salt, sealed in milk chocolate.

For lovers of ginger the Hotel Chocolat Ginger Hard-Boiled Easter Egg is a vegan, 70% cocoa, dark chocolate Easter egg with six hazelnut and ginger chocolates. Infused with Indian ginger oil the shell is also decoratively studded with Piedmont hazelnuts, for added crunch and texture.
